African Steel Evergreen Project
Who We Are
African Steel Evergreen Project is a youth-led, non-governmental organization committed to tackling environmentally responsible projects in Lagos and beyond. We work towards mitigating the effects of climate change and rejuvenating the natural environment by planting and maintaining trees.
A Step Towards a Greener Tomorrow
Join us as we plant 1,000 trees across Lagos to fight climate change and protect the ecosystem.
Darsh Gupta: Leading the Youth for a Greener Future
Darsh Gupta is one of the Initiators driving the African Steel Evergreen Project. His leadership is vital to our mission of planting 1,000 trees in Lagos. He has also founded the Toye Room Initiative, an extension of the DIY-A project that began in collaboration with his brother Arjun Gupta, as a platform for youth innovation.
Our Mission
- Plant 1,000 trees across Lagos State starting from December 2021.
- Support and maintenance of planted trees for long-term sustainability.
- Engage in online and physical dialogues to raise awareness about climate change and the importance of tree planting for environmental preservation.
- Educate the public in and outside of Lagos about the crucial role of protecting our ecosystem.
